Exploration Green
Discovery Green was a ten+ years project to protect Clear Lake Area from flooding while also adding a spectacular natural green space. To facilitate the project, Doug created a non-profit conservancy, raised millions of dollars and served as Government Affairs rep with multiple partners inside and outside government.
Harris County Precinct 2
Doug served as Community Liaison for the Southern portions of Harris County, basically from Seabrook to Taylor Lake Village, Nassau Bay, Webster, Friendswood and Clear Lake neighborhoods.
Federal Career
Doug started his career as a Field Operations Supervisor for the Dept. of Commerce's Census Bureau. He was then hired by NASA/Johnson Space Center where his career spanned 33 years in External Relations, Public Affairs, Advanced Programs and HR. Doug's work highlights include supporting The Astronaut Office and Flight Crew Operation, preceded by work in the Exploration Program Office and U.S. House Space Sub-Committee.
